Weldas® Line of COOL FR™ Flame Retardant Clothing

The use and availability of flame-resistant (FR) clothing has become much more common due to the continued development and updating of industry safety regulations and voluntary performance standards.

Whether it is the industry preferred navy blue work/casual wear or the standard welders green sateen, these washable FR (flame retardant) garments incorporate more features designed for your safety and comfort than any other FR clothing in the industry. Features such as durable hemmed collars, comfortable underarm sport cut patterns, and spatter guard flaps behind the snaps with bar tack stitching at major stress points (COOL FR™ only).

Our COOL FR™ Hybrid Jacket offers the best of both worlds with the cool comfort of flame retardant cotton and the protection of leather where abrasion and burns are most frequent.

Our COOL FR™ garments feature hemmed collars, which increase durability even after many washes and specially designed under arm sport cut for increased mobility. The dielectric snaps prevent electric current from passing to the user, reinforced by the spatter guard flap located behind the front closure that stop sparks and spatter from intruding from entering the jacket.

COOL FR™ 9 oz. clothing conforms to ASTM 06413-11A flame retardant and washable test methods. ASTM International is a group that develops internationally recognized voluntary consensus standards. The 06413-11A test method was developed to test the vertical flame resistance, after flame, and afterglow characteristics.
